EDUCATION & TRAINING

I attended the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Ottawa, Ontario, and graduated in 2017.

Following graduation, I continued my education through advanced training in Immunology; Nutrition and Athletic Performance; Nutrition and Pharmacology; Detoxification; and Safe and Effective Supplementation. I also completed advanced studies in Functional Nutrition, Oh Baby Nutrition, and the Culinary Expert Program at the Academy of Culinary Nutrition. Lastly, I completed advanced training in Functional Genomics through DNA University.

MY JOURNEY

I was born and raised in the quiet little town of Casselman, Ontario along with my three siblings by my two wonderful parents. My parents always had a restaurant (of course, we are Greek!) It was a family affair. When I was old enough, I was into the restaurant full time and loved it! Managing, cooking, planning parties, weddings - you name it. It was busy, loud, chaotic, and honestly….a wonderful time.

I later moved to Gatineau, Quebec, after meeting the love of my life ❤️ and pursued my career in that location.

At one point in my life, I thought I knew it all.

I was a certified personal trainer, ate well (or so I thought), trained constantly, and ran 10K multiple times per week. I even ran a 5K Spartan Race - because why not?

Then I started getting these weird pains in my stomach - but nothing slowed me down.

Those “few minutes” of pain then turned into hours of debilitating pain over the following months. Finally, my sister said “Enough is enough, we are going to the hospital.”

Long story short – my gallbladder had to come out.

What?? I was “so healthy”! Why were they taking one of my organs? No one had an answer for me. These things “happen” they said…

After the extraction, I was told to simply return to life as normal - no changes to my diet.

That was the worst advice I ever received.

Over the next few years, I dealt with ongoing digestive issues, nutrient deficiencies, and the emotional toll that comes with feeling unwell for far too long. I knew, deep down, that this wasn’t how life was supposed to feel.

I dug a little deeper and found that it had everything to do with nutrition.

This is what made me change my path and go to school in nutrition. I wanted to shout out from the rooftops “If you had your gallbladder taken out, you are not alone! Here’s how to handle it!” Everyone should have access to this information.

Nutrition is everything – it literally builds us.

The food on your plate becomes your eyes, your skin, your gut, your heart. What you eat turns into you. Our bodies are fascinating that way. When nutrition is supportive, your eyes stay bright, your skin glows, you age with more ease and grace, and you feel stronger and happier from the inside out.

When nutrition is aligned with your unique body, you stop fighting yourself, and that’s where real change begins

Now, as a mom of three young children, I also see just how much support new mothers truly need, support and information that isn’t always available when it matters most. I believe healthy habits begin early, even before a child is born. How we nourish ourselves and our children can shape whether the body moves toward ease or dis-ease. The earlier the education, the better.

ARE YOU READY TO MAKE A CHANGE? LET’S DO THIS TOGETHER.
